1. What is e-Invoice?
An e-invoice is a digital record of a transactional exchange between a seller (supplier) and a purchaser (buyer), which goes through the government portal for validation and recordkeeping.
E-Invoice contains all the details of an invoice along with a Unique Identification Number (UIN), which is generated by the government system after proper verification of the core fields like TIN, MCIR, etc. and QR code, which enables online validation of the e-invoice.

2. Who can request an e-Invoice?
From 1 January 2025 onwards, customers who require an e-Invoice can request it through the methods below, depending on their mode of purchase.

Example
Customer A purchased products through aggregators’ platform (i.e. Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop) and requests for an e-Invoice through Manjaku portal. Will Customer A be able to obtain the e-Invoice?
No. Customer A will not be able to obtain an e-Invoice through the Manjaku portal. However, Customer A can request and download the e-Invoice from aggregators’ platform, in accordance with the respective aggregators' policies
3. When can a customer request an e-Invoice?
Customers can request an e-invoice within the same month of purchase.
Example:
Customer B purchased products at a Mothercare outlet on 31 January 2025, and requested an e-Invoice on 1 February 2025. Will Customer B be able to obtain the e-Invoice?
No. Customer B will not be able to obtain e-Invoice as the request was made after the month of purchase.

4. What information does a customer need to provide to obtain e-Invoice from Manjaku?

5. What if the customer does not want to release this information to Manjaku?
6. For corporate customers who purchase goods or vouchers from Manjaku, will they obtain an e-Invoice? Do they need to go through the request process??
Yes.
Manjaku is obligated to issue an e-Invoice to corporate customers for the sale of vouchers in accordance with IRBM’s guidelines. Please request the e-Invoice through the Manjaku portal.

7. What is Tax Identification Number (“TIN”)?
TIN is the income tax number currently recorded by the IRBM. For example, the file numbers of individual residents and non-residents are SG and OG, and the company’s file number is C.

8. Can a customer request an e-Invoice when they redeem a Manjaku Gift Voucher?
Yes. Customer can request an e-Invoice. The e-Invoice will be issued based on the net payable amount.
Example:
a. Customer C purchased RM150 worth of goods from outlet. Customer C presents a RM50 voucher for redemption and pays the remaining balance of RM100 with cash or e-wallet.
- Manjaku will issue an e-Invoice to customer upon request, based on the sales amount not settled by the vouchers (i.e. RM100).
b. Customer D purchased RM100 worth of goods from outlet. Customer D presents a RM100 voucher for redemption.
- In this scenario, Manjaku will issue an e-Invoice to customer upon request, with an amount of RM0.
c. Customer E purchased RM100 worth of goods from outlet. Customer E presents a RM110 voucher for redemption.
- In this scenario, Manjaku will issue an e-Invoice to customer upon request, with an amount of RM 0.
Example:
a. Customer C purchased RM150 worth of goods from outlet. Customer C presents a RM50 voucher for redemption and pays the remaining balance of RM100 with cash or e-wallet.

c. Customer E purchased RM100 worth of goods from outlet. Customer E presents a RM110 voucher for redemption.
- In this scenario, Manjaku will issue an e-Invoice to customer upon request, with an amount of RM 0.
9. Customer bought more than 2 products in the same receipt. Can the customer request 2 separate e-Invoices?
No.
Manjaku can only issue 1 e-Invoice for each receipt number.

10. How will the customer receive the validated e-Invoice?
The validated e-Invoice will be sent to customer provided email address once it’s available.
11. How long should the customer expect to receive the validated e-Invoice?
If the validated e-Invoice is not received within 24 hours after the request is submitted on the portal, please contact our customer service.
12. If a customer entered wrong information and submits the request for an e-Invoice, can they still amend it?
If it is still within the same month (of the original receipt date), the customer may contact our customer service for assistance.
